My name is Christina Mitterhuber, also known as Christy Mitterhuber (birth name Christa), and I am an independent painter born in Wels, Austria on December 29, 1975. I have been painting since the age of 12 and have created over 1,500 oil and mixed-media paintings on canvas.
I began showing my works to the public in 2018. Since then, I have participated in around 230 international art projects across 18 countries. I have been invited and selected into three Rome Biennales since 2020 and also received an invitation for the Florence Biennale in 2023. In 2023, I was also invited and selected into the Rome Triennale.
My physical paintings have been shown in prestigious venues such as the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris in 2023 and 2025. Since 2020, I have exhibited my works in 22 museum group exhibitions and held three solo exhibitions in Italian museums located in Casoria, Narni, and Turin.
In addition to physical exhibitions, my works have been shown digitally at the AD Art Shows in the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center in NYC in 2021 and 2022. Since 2024, I have been selected by Arthouse New York to showcase my works at the Big Screen Plaza in New York. In 2025, the Director of Sotheby’s New York was on the jury for this event.
My artwork has also been displayed digitally in Times Square, NYC, several times since 2023, and I participated digitally in the Tokyo Tower Art Fair in 2023. Since 2020, I have received over 20 physical awards and more than 14 digital awards.
