Jane Dugan, born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, grew up with a love for nature at an early age. She was influenced by her grandmother Rosa Bateman-McGee’s poetry (Circ 1988-1958) and the paintings of Robert Bateman, a Naturalist and Environmental Artist. These two enduring inspirations helped shaped her artistic direction. Jane’s art has exhibited in places like: Vienna, England, the USA and Canada. She is an awarded artist, and her artwork is available online through Artsy, with Gallery Artifacts, NYC. Self-published Jane has several books available for online purchase, such as: Hope for the Future, 2024 and Songs for Sighs, 2025. Altogether, Jane (Janie) has had art published in over eleven (11) Art books and 4 magazines. She also has had several online reviews that speak about her artwork with excellent comparisons to Master Artists. Jane currently resides in New Brunswick Canada after spending most of her life in her hometown and almost decade in Windsor Ontario.
