Luana Stebule

Since 2013, I have been living and creating in the United Kingdom. I was born in 1962 in Lithuania. I finished Antanas Martinaitis Art School and the Academy of Art. My artistic career began in 1989 with a solo exhibition at the Kaunas Art House. I only created my website in English in 2018 and became more visible worldwide. I have had 22 solo and 82 group exhibitions, it include online exhibitions.

I have exhibited in Europe, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, as well in England, Japan and the United States. My artworks have been featured in over 20 art books and art anthologies, and I have received numerous awards and prizes. In 2024, my artworks selected for inclusion in the prestigious catalogue "Universal Catalog Of Modern Art 2024" alongside notable artists such as Andy Warhol, Amadeo Modigliani and other famous creators. In 2023, by the World of Art Magazine, I was featured in the book "Top 10 Contemporary Artists 2023.

The majority of my current artworks are oil on canvas, but I also utilise collage, watercolour, oil pastel, and acrylic on paper techniques. My works are characterised as abstract figurative paintings by structured compositions, often multi-layered, employing contrasting calm and saturated colours. During the COVID-19 pandemic, silence, isolation, and solitude made a good job. I discovered a new way to draw human figures, faces, cats, dogs, and other objects through my dancing lines. This movement of lines also symbolise infinity; everything comes from it and returns.
