Tatyana Palchuk

Tatyana Palchuk was born in 1954 in Riga, the capital of Latvia. From 1967 to 1973, she studied at the Jan Rozentals Art School in Riga. From 1975 to 1981, she studied at the easel painting department of the Latvian Academy of Arts, receiving excellent marks. From 1984 to 1987, she completed her postgraduate studies at the USSR Academy of Arts.

She gained excellent experience studying with renowned Latvian artists such as Academician Eduards Kalniņš and Professor Edgars Iltners. Constantly working and studying at the highest level, Tatyana perfectly mastered the Latvian Academic School of Painting—a subtle sense of color, elegant painting technique, excellent compositional skills, and, among other things, a fine academic drawing. In 2003, she received a Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts. In the early 2000s, she taught painting, drawing, and composition.

She regularly participates in group exhibitions and has held approximately 15 solo exhibitions. Among the world's artistic heritage, Tatyana is particularly drawn to the art of the Italian Proto-Renaissance, the Northern Renaissance (15th-16th centuries), French and Burgundian illuminated manuscripts (15th century), and paintings of the International Gothic period.

Tatyana Palchuk (named from art specialists, New Renaissance's Master) is a member of the Latvian Union of Artists.

1.In my opinion, the basis of any creative work is the author's attitude toward the world around them and their place in it. This is what defines their art. Our world is so vast, diverse, complex, and beautiful. Everything in it is logically arranged, everything in it is interconnected. I believe that it only exists thanks to love, kindness, and beauty. On the one hand, a person is a tiny grain of sand in the overall structure of the world, and on the other hand, thanks to reason, the entire world (the Cosmos) accumulates within them.

2.Any creative work is a philosophy. Each person has their own system of views on the world and on themselves in this world. This is expressed in everything they do and how they do it. An artist's philosophy is realized in their works. Nature is beautiful, and man is a part of nature. Therefore, man is also beautiful, like all living things. In nature, everything is interconnected, logical, and grandiose. Man has been given the incomprehensible gift of perceiving beauty, appreciating it, admiring it, and conveying these feelings in their works.

3.Art is an incomprehensible gift. The gift of seeing, perceiving beauty and harmony in everything that surrounds us. And the gift of creating, conveying this beauty in our paintings. Simply put, painting is a path to the soul through sensory perception.
