Versatile Artist with a growing portfolio. I started acrylic painting on an invitation from a friend during COVID. To my own surprise and delight, the paintings were good. I've continued to expanded and grow artistically since those days.
I'm from Philadelphia, but have lived in Brooklyn NY since 1989. I enjoy abstract artwork that allows me to express myself though spontaneity, yet with some structure and poise. My creative process stems from what inspires me. I love adding texture, mediums, in an array of vivid colors together that add depth to each piece, with a bit of open interpretation. Pulling from a variety of influences and expressions, some envisioned as a visual vocal waveform. Like in my VVSS (Visual Vocal Spectrum Series)
Then there is also my love for Music and its various instruments. My goal with each of my paintings is to have fun...all the while storytelling through my Art!
I'm a multidisciplinary artist whose work sometimes bridges the worlds of sound and visual abstraction. Drawing on my experience as a voiceover artist, I explores how emotion, rhythm, and resonance can be expressed not only through voice, but through color, texture, and form.
In my ongoing Visual Voice Spectrum Series, I look to transforms the language of sound waves into striking visual landscapes. Layers of paint are applied rhythmically, mirroring the rise and fall of vocal tones. I use color, metallic texture, and abstract motion to reveal the emotion and energy inside every voice.
For me, art and sound share this rhythmic connection. The human voice carries feeling, identity, and energy — things that can’t be measured but can be felt. My paintings capture that same invisible force: I seek to reveal the beauty in imperfection — the breath, pauses, and raw humanity within every brush stroke.
“My work is about making the unseen visible,” ... “When I speak into a microphone, I’m creating waves that fill the air. When I paint, I’m capturing that energy — the pulse of communication itself". Both are acts of resonance where I translate sound into color. Enjoying every minutes of Artistry!
