Marion Schmidtke is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited in the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, and Spain. She describes her need to create as being based on an "irresistible need" to communicate her truth. Schmidtke's compositions are primarily inspired by nature, especially the animal and plant kingdoms. Her artistic practice involves listening in absolute silence to all life forms, their natural rhythms, and music. It is this that she endeavors to share with viewers.
