Naji Jamil Zeaiter, from Baalbek, Lebanon, earned my B.A. in Law at the Lebanese University. However, I never felt like a lawyer. I have always had a passion for any kind of visual art. Right after my graduation, I enrolled in a makeup artist academy in Beirut and dedicated more than five years to the artistic makeup world.
While working in this field, I discovered my passion for fashion. I then enrolled in the ESMODE French School for Fashion in Beirut, and worked in this field for a long time, during which I felt a strong attraction towards colors, patterns, and textures.
Five years ago, I moved to Barcelona because this city is a hub for art, and you can find art in every corner. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, and the several lockdowns that I experienced in Barcelona, I started to feel a connection with painting. I spent my days watching and reading about abstract painting.
During this time, I noticed that I had a good hand working with colors and textures. This was the result of my makeup and fashion background. Painting became, for me, a way of escape and made me more aware of my creativity as a means of self-expression.
After the last lockdown in Barcelona, I decided to take my creativity to the next level. I started learning and experimenting with painting at the Espaidart School of Art. Painting became a creative impulse that had always been with me since I was young, though I didn’t know how to exploit this potential.
Now, I can confidently say that I am on my way to becoming an artist. Naji Jamil Zeaiter
"My work is a visual exploration of the internal landscape, captured through the language of abstract painting. I paint from a place of raw emotion, using the canvas to process the complexities of the life we live To express these complications, I integrate found objects and mixed media into my paintings. These elements create a rich. tactile texture that mirrors the layers of humar experience-at once messy, structured, and deep. For me, art is not just about color; it is about the physical feeling of navigating a complicated world."
