Moorland Productions creative collaboration was founded in 1994 to showcase the work of Kenneth Hay & Seetha A (b.Inverness & Singapore 1955). We produce stylistically diverse work organised thematically in painting, drawing, print, photography, video, installation, sound and sculpture using a distributed practice evolved over the years between our studios in London and SW France. Kenneth was trained in Leeds, Florence and Wales and Seetha in London, Berlin Leeds and Delhi. Our work featured in the 1995 and 2003 Venice Biennales and over 100 international exhibitions and Art Fairs.
Our work is devised, developed and created jointly by both artists working in person and virtually. Each body of work follows a discrete theme (which can be historical, social, intuitive or formal) and the methodology deployed is the product of research, discussion, experiment and development, as are the media used in the creation of the work. Consequently, the 'look and feel' of each body of work can seem quite different. The balance of form and content remains constant.
