→ “Fellowship in Sculpture” Gloucestershire College of Art, England

I am a four-Continent Asian of Indian heritage and was born in Uganda, East Africa. At the early age of 17, I decided to travel to England to study Art.

After a Graduate degree in painting from Cheltenham, and master's degree in Sculpture from Royal College of Art, London, I was granted a fellowship in sculpture from Gloucestershire College of Art, Cheltenham, England.

As I dwelled deeper into self-expression through abstraction, I was inspired by Kandinsky in the early years and later I was fascinated by the free expression of the Modern movement going on in the USA.

Having thoroughly enjoying both aspects of expressing through painting as well as sculpture, I found a need to find a way to combine both mediums for making Art.

Therefore, I created a unique process of carving my paintings on a clay surface to give me a deep and complex dimensional texture and then transferring this image to its final phase, into a flexible acrylic surface ready for painting.

This private glance of being able to see the mirror image of each piece in its clay form and then the finished image, is something I cherish as a personal gift. It makes me aware of the duality in my own life of inner and outer realities. I now live and create in New York City.

My passion has always been to experience the existence of the intimate connection that exists between creativity and spirituality. I have come to realize that what is outside of us is also within us. It is a symbiotic relationship. There is no separation between us and all forms of life within the universe.

After years of meditation and combined with my spiritual understanding, I have come to accept my sensitivity to the existence of energy beyond the physical plane. Through my personal experience in astral travel, psychic surgery and studying different energy modalities, my goal has been to be as clear a conduit as I can be to seed this “Consciousness” into creating Art that touches one's imagination beyond the physical plane.

I thrive at exploring the Earth and its elements, the Cosmos with its infinite space, and humanity experiencing the energetic and magnetic shift of the quantum field.
